Today Shirley and I finished up the last of the butchering on our heifer. We just had to grind the burger and package all the meat. We secured about 150 pounds of boneless beef off of her.
We lost a special friend overnight - one of the farm dogs passed in his sleep. He was a fourteen year old dalmation and had a very good life - he will be missed... Rest In Peace Joker.

Joker was an awesome dog, other than the first time I met him - he bit me on the back of my leg. But he was such a protecter of Grammy. I hope she is doing okay with the loss of her companion.
