So the "STORM" didn't really hit today. It rained all night and this morning but around 4 (I think) it started to drop in temp and get snowy.
It has been snowing now for about two hours. Big, fluffy flakes....oh and there is wind.
We had another baby today. This time from one of our cows - 19. She had an absolutely gorgeous bull calf - yet unnamed. (pictures are forthcoming)
I had a major car malfunction today. While driving it just died. No warning - no gauges firing up - just died. Now the nice thing is it was in a fairly safe place and hopefully (OJALA) Kent's brother-in-law, Art, the mechanic, will be able to find out what is wrong with it and get it fixed soon. Art has been a God-send this winter. Thanks to Rodney too for letting Kent borrow his car trailer.

What does OJALA stand for?
I'm so happy that your car didn't stall on the railroad tracks, Angel. Just remember if that ever happens, and the train is coming from the east going west, you run east! I will never forget a story my grandma told me about a lady from Wellsburg whose car stalled on the tracks and the train was coming, she got out of her car and ran away from the train (the same direction the train was traveling in) and when the train hit the car it sent it flying through the air and right on top of her. It is an image I can't shake off and think about it everytime I cross tracks.
Also, I'm glad you were able to hang out with Ma and Pa watching home videos for the afternoon. Those are precious moments that mean so much! That is how we develop relationships with the ones we love. I miss sacking out in ma's living room watching videos with pa and Aaron, I even think my memory includes Kent being there.
Another fun time is when old pictures get taken out and the family is together reminiscing about old memories. It is often funny because one person's interpretation will be totally different than anothers. Especially between Kent and Aaron, and poor Shirley can't remember which boy did what! Good times. We need to do stuff like this more often because time is a precious thing and who better to spend it with then those you love -aka family!
I Love you, Angel, if I haven't said it before. And I hope Kent hurries up and marries you so that you can be an official Opdahl. What a joyous day that will be!!!
Take care.
Okay, I don't mean by my end comment that I don't see you as part of the family already, because I do. I just would like to see it be official, as I know you would, too. :)
