It's official. October 29th I married Kent D. Opdahl. Here are some pics from the wedding.

Updates

Wow! It's been a long time since I updated here....

Howling Horse Productions just celebrated our 1 year anniversary and business is booming!

In July Kent proposed and in just over a month I will be Mrs. Kent Opdahl.

I am officially back in school and working on a credential for Early Childhood Education.

That's a quick wrap up.

Hopefully I'll get new updates back on again soon!

Brandy

This is our second baby of the year. She is from 19 and her name is Brandy. She was born in the cold and froze her ears so she will be a short ear, long horn :)


She's a fiesty little bugger!

First Baby

2010 welcomes the first baby for Howling Horse Ranch. Early in the morning of 1-2-2010 we welcomed baby Arctic, a heifer calf to the herd. She is the daughter of Storm and was born at -30 degrees air temp. She and mama are doing very well after a little colostryx boost from Kent.

Great cookies

1 Cake mix
1 egg beaten
2 C cool-whip (measure this out it is less than one 8 oz container)
Sugar (powdered or white)

Mix together - the dough will be thick and firm.

Roll into tsp size balls and roll in sugar. (I like powdered, my mom likes white).

Bake for 10 min at 350. - they will get hard fast if you bake them longer.

Now for the fun part - mix it up.

Devils Food Cake with 2/3 cup Andes peppermint crunches
White Cake with chopped dried cranberries
White Cake with macadamia nuts
Yellow cake with 1/2 cup peanut butter
Lemon cake mix (this is nice and citrusy - good in the summer)

Howling Horse Productions

Kent and I began a new adventure this fall...DJing. Howling Horse Productions went up and running in September with a slow and steady run of jobs. We play our first wedding reception tonight and this starts a packed month of Saturday's in December. We have a great light show including a 3D laser light and over 50,000 songs for your listening preference. In all the jobs we've done so far we've only had a handful of songs we don't have and we easily pick them up. It's pretty exciting. As Kent says we may have to work weekends but we're always at the party!

Westin

In my blogging yesterday I forgot another addition to our extended family.

Westin Vandale Opdahl was born in September - he joins sister Natalie, and brothers Levi and Garin. We waited a long time for him. He had several due dates starting in Late August and eventually came toward the end of September. He is a big and happy boy with a tiny little squeak and we love him. His mom sent this adorable pic that I thought I'd share. As you can see he has a ton of hair. I tell Carrie that I don't believe I've seen any of her boys with hair as long as Westin's is. She likes to keep the boys in a buzz cut :}
